Provide research and reference services in the on-campus and online environments, using the research consultation model and other available technologies.
Teach research instruction sessions for assigned subjects and academic programs, working strategically with the other subject librarians to integrate instruction into the courses.
Create and maintain library guides and instructional resources for University students, faculty, and community patrons.
Contribute to the success of the assigned subjects and academic programs by effectively serving as a liaison librarian.
Build and maintain relationships with University faculty in assigned subject area(s) and academic programs.
Manage and develop library resources – print and electronic – for assigned subjects.
Commit to ongoing professional development, scholarly contribution, and service to the University and library profession.
Oversee resource sharing.
Assist with library outreach.
Work collaboratively with the library team.
All other duties as assigned by the Director of the Library.
Qualifications
Required:
Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library/information science program.
Two (2) or more years’ experience in an academic library setting.
Demonstrated commitment to supporting the UWA mission and working collaboratively.
Experience with library and educational technologies (Alma, Springshare, WorldShare, EBSCO, and presentation/video creation technologies).
Experience in planning and delivering information literacy education, research help services, with demonstrated knowledge of best practices.
Positive, effective, and collaborative communication skills.
Desired:
Experience collaborating with faculty in a liaison librarian capacity.
Record of ongoing professional development, scholarly contribution, and service in librarianship.
Demonstrated knowledge of library outreach practices and experience with successful social media engagement in libraries.
Experience with resource sharing practices in academic libraries.
Evidence of professional values and lifelong learning.
Digital, data, and AI literacy and fluency.
